Dear UWOSA Members,
Nikki Grozelle is resigning as UWOSA President September 2024. We thank Nikki for her contributions to UWOSA over the past 8 years.
In accordance with section 5.1 of our Constitution, if at any time the office of President shall fall vacant, the Vice President shall become President of the Association.
As per sections 5.2 and 5.4 of our Constitution, this leaves us with a vacancy on our Executive Committee for the office of Vice President until the end of the current term (April 30, 2026) or until the next election for the Vice President position. Responsibilities of the Vice President are outlined in section 7.4 “Officers of the Association” of our Constitution.
If you would like to self-nominate for the role, please email a brief biography of your qualifications (maximum 200 words) to info@uwosa.ca by September 6, 2024 to be submitted for review to Stewards Council.
Applicants will be notified by the President with the date they are expected to attend a Stewards Council meeting to provide a brief (5 minute) presentation to Council members. After all presentations, a vote will be held by Steward Council members to determine the next Vice President.
If you have any questions regarding the role, or have a question regarding the appointment process, please email info@uwosa.ca.
