Dear UWOSA Members:
UWOSA’s Executive has, pursuant to the UWOSA Constitution, declared a vacancy in the office of Chief Steward of the Association.
As per section 5.4 of the UWOSA Constitution, the Steward’s Council will appoint a member of the Association to serve out the remainder of the current term for the Chief Steward (to April 30, 2026).
Please see Article 7.5 of the UWOSA Constitution for a description of the duties performed by the Chief Steward. If you would like to self-nominate for the role, please email a brief biography and a statement of interest outlining your qualifications (maximum 200 words) to info@uwosa.ca by 4:00 pm on June 28, 2024, to be submitted to Steward’s Council for their consideration.
Applicants will be notified by the President with the date they are expected to attend a Stewards Council meeting to deliver a brief (5 minute) presentation. After all presentations, a vote will be held by Stewards Council members to elect the next Chief Steward.
