Our Membership Newsletter and Social Committee invites you to the following volunteer opportunity:
Ronald McDonald House London (RMHL) “Dinner at our House”
Please join your fellow UWOSA colleagues as we come together for Dinner at our House nights at Ronald McDonald House London (RMHL). The RMHL Dinner at our House program provides a welcoming, supportive and secure environment to out-of-town families of seriously ill or injured children who are in London receiving medical treatment.
On the dates listed below, a group of our members (8-10 individuals per/dinner night) will help plan, purchase, and prepare dinner for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House (approximately 60+ individuals).
To help with the cost of the dinner which includes the entrée, salad, juice, & dessert, our members who volunteer to participate will be asked to contribute $20 (cash) that will be used to purchase the dinner items.

Time Commitment for each dinner:
The approximate time commitment is 3-4 hours from preparation to clean up.
Location: The dinners will be held at the Ronald McDonald House London (RMHL) at 741 Baseline Road East, London Ontario
Arrival and Preparation: 3:00 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. (varies on the dinner preparation time needed)
Dinner: 5:30 p.m. Clean Up and Departure: 7:30 p.m.
If you are interested in participating in any of the Dinner at our House volunteer nights, please click on the UWOSA VOLUNTEER SIGN UP for information and the 2020 Dinner Night sign-up dates. Write your name, email address, and your preference for the dates listed by indicating the number for your first, second, third etc. choices. For any dates you do not wish to volunteer or are unavailable, please write “N/A” in the column.
You will be contacted by an MNS Committee member prior to the dinner night date you have chosen to confirm if you are still available.
Families and Guest Info
For those who have families and guest wishing to participate, we will be doing the following
FIRST PRIORITY will be for individual UWOSA members
SECOND PRIORITY will be for families and UWOSA member guests (UWOSA member must attend with their guest for the Dinner Date).
The minimum age for guests to participate is 16 years old.
All participants including guests are asked to contribute the $20 (cash) for the purchase of the dinner items.
In the sign-up sheet in the column labelled Family/Guest please indicate the number of family members and guests who will attend with you.
