UWOSA has filed for Conciliation with the Ministry of Labour on June 3, 2024.
Our current Collective Agreement ends on June 30, 2024. UWOSA was proactive and sent our official Intent to Bargain letter on April 10, 2024. After over a month with no acknowledgment, UWOSA sent yet another Intent to Bargain notice on May 16, 2024. As of today, Western’s Administration has neither acknowledged receipt, nor responded to our requests.
Our Negotiations Team is committed to getting all of us a fair Collective Agreement as soon as possible. We have conveyed to Western’s Administration our willingness to meet and come to an agreement, but in order to do so we need Western’s Administration to come to the table.
As it has become apparent Western’s Administration are not engaging in the bargaining process, UWOSA has filed for Conciliation with the Ministry of Labour on June 3, 2024. We will continue to keep you informed of the process.
