Following the ratification of our new collective agreement by both the UWOSA membership and Western University’s Board of Governors, all provisions of the 2024-2028 UWOSA Collective Agreement are now in place.
The final text of the 2024-28 collective agreement still needs to be reviewed, and we hope this process will be completed and the new electronic copy of the collective agreement will be posted to both UWOSA’s and Western’s websites by the end of October, 2024. Hard copies of the new collective agreement will hopefully be distributed by the end of the year or early in 2025.
In the meantime, the slides from the ratification meeting are still posted to the Members area of the UWOSA website (log in using your UWOSA credentials) on the 2023-24 Negotiations Update webpage so members can access the new information. We will keep the slides up until the new agreement is posted. If your supervisor has any questions, they can reach out to their Employee Relations representative for support.
It has taken some time, but it is UWOSA’s understanding that Manulife has now added the Mental Health Benefits to our extended benefits plan and claims are now being accepted. If you have any difficulties with submitting your claim, or any questions about the new Mental Health benefits, please contact Kyle Digby, Benefits Specialists with Western Human Resources, at kdigby@uwo.ca or ext. 85687, or send an inquiry through Western’s “AskHR” portal.
We thank everyone for your patience!
