As we begin 2023, we are preparing for our next round of negotiations which are just around the corner in 2024.
UWOSA is preparing early to ensure that we are ready to advocate for the improvements to the benefits and compensation package that UWOSA members deserve.
Article 44 – Job Evaluation is a very important article in our Collective Agreement. Our Position Description Questionnaires (PDQs) are what is used to evaluate all positions within our UWOSA bargaining unit. JES2013 is applied to all bargaining unit positions for the purpose of determining job class and internal equity. In other words, if your PDQ is inaccurate it is possible that your role is misclassified and you are being underpaid.
UWOSA is concerned that we are seeing inequities within classifications across departments. We need your help to ensure that the integrity of our job evaluation process is being maintained.
Please send a copy of your signed PDQ to info@uwosa.ca. If you do not have a PDQ or are unsure how to obtain one, please reach out to us so we can provide you with guidance and support. UWOSA needs to be ready to advocate for all UWOSA positions and the compensation method that is used to evaluate our positions.
In Solidarity,
Nikki Grozelle
President, UWOSA
