Negotiations Update August 6, 2021
On August 5, 2021, our Union’s Negotiations Team has reached a tentative Collective Agreement with Western’s Administration.
According to our Constitution and Bylaws 16.2.2, “An information meeting(s) for all of the UWOSA constituents as defined by the Ontario Labour Relations Board Certificate will be called before a contract ratification vote is taken.”
Details of the tentative new agreement will be provided at an Information Meeting which will be held on Monday, August 23rd. At the Information Meeting, a motion will be made to accept and ratify the Collective Agreement. Due to provincial regulations, the meeting will take place on Zoom, and the voting will take place electronically.

We again thank you for all of your suggestions and encouragement over the past several months and we are pleased with the outcome of this Collective Agreement, despite the Bill 124 limitations.
