Dear UWOSA Members,
Karen McDonald has submitted her notice to retire from Western and as a result, has also submitted her notice to resign as our Treasurer on January 25, 2021. We thank Karen for her contributions as Treasurer over the past three years. We will miss Karen and we wish her well on her new adventure in retirement.
This leaves a vacancy on our Executive Committee until April 30, 2022, until the next election for the Treasurer position, as per our Constitution, section 5.4, “Vacancy in the Executive Committee”.
Responsibilities of the Treasurer are outlined in the Constitution, section 7.8 “Officers of the Association”.
If you would like to self-nominate for the role, please complete the self-nomination form and email a brief biography of your qualifications (maximum 250 words) to info@uwosa.ca by February 5, 2021.
Applicants will be invited by the President to attend the February 17, 2021 Stewards Council meeting to provide a brief (5 minute) presentation to Council members. After all presentations, a vote will be held by Stewards Council to determine the next Treasurer.
