Committee Vacancies - UWOSA Members Needed for UWO Committees

There are currently three committees requiring UWOSA representatives:

Parking Appeals
required: one member, one alternate member
This committee makes decisions on all appeals against tickets issued on University property and makes recommendations to the Advisory Committee on Parking and Traffic, as may be appropriate, for changes to the Parking Regulations.

Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee
required: one member
This committee provides a forum whereby representatives of all Employee groups and the Employer can identify workplace health & safety hazards and make recommendations to reduce or eliminate such hazards

Staff Development Steering Team
required: one member
This team supports the development of staff across the University to be successful with their present and changing roles and accountabilities. They plan, create, access, advocate for, or sponsor opportunities to support identified development needs. Staff development is focused on supporting people to grow in the workplace, to realize their potential, and to perform their roles to meet the outcomes required.

If you are interested in being the UWOSA representative on any of these three committees, please download and complete the Committee Appointment Request Form and send it to the UWOSA office by campus mail to UCC Room 255, by email to info@uwosa.ca or by fax to ext 82180 (519-661-2180). All forms must be received by Tuesday, September 6, 2011.

The Stewards Council will appoint members to these committees at its first meeting in September. All applicants are expected to attend this meeting, which will be held from 12:00 to 1:30 pm on Wednesday, September 7th in UCC room 56.
